How to Find Us 

Rosedale is a stunningly serene and beautiful place situated right in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. 
 
Dale Head Farm is situated right at the top of Rosedale valley on the eastern side and can be reached either by  
car, or via a number of different walks. 

FROM THE VILLAGE 

From the village of Rosedale Abbey, head up the dale towards Castleton, turning left at the junction after half a mile, towards “Rosedale East”. Dale Head Farm is approximately 2 miles, just about as far as you can go!

MANY LOCAL WALKS 

A popular walk takes in the disused railway line that goes right around the dale, a distance of about 8 miles. From the top of Rosedale Chimney Bank (west side of the dale) head along the railway track past the old kilns, for about 4 miles, taking a track to the right where you see the sign sending you across the dale to Dale Head Farm and the Tea Garden. 
From Hill Cottages, Rosedale (east side of the dale), head up to Depot House to the start of the disused railway line and follow this for approximately 1 mile, dropping down at the side of a small wood to Dale Head Farm and the Tea Garden. 
From the well-known Lion Inn at Blakey, drop down onto the disused railway line, heading left around the top of the dale, dropping down alongside the small wood to Dale Head Farm and the Tea Garden.Alternatively from the Lion Inn, drop down onto the disused railway line and turn right, following the track until you see the sign sending you across the dale, following the track to Dale Head Farm and the Tea Garden (approx one and a half miles). 
From the well-known Lion Inn at Blakey, drop down onto the disused railway line, heading left around the top of the dale, dropping down alongside the small wood to Dale Head Farm and the Tea Garden.
